You definitely get the taste of the beef jerky you chew on it for a little while then that jalapeno heat just kind of slowly rises up in your mouth. It's not overbearing, it's actually a perfect level of heat for a beef jerky. I would go out and get these again because well it's beef jerky and good spicy beef jerky.
